I've just spent the last hour completely distracted from my work by the antics of a large otter in my pond. I had the spotting scope on him until the light faded. They always seem to enjoy themselves, even on a snowy day like today.

This image is from last December, and not especially great, but it is cute.

i ADORE Otters! they have the cutest faces! In South Africa, the Eastern Cape is Otter country and i just want to live there!!! But hubbies work keeps us up North...

They are really cute, aren't they? Our River Otters are fascinating, but the Sea Otters on the Pacific Coast are just amazing...and BIG! I spent a whole day watching them play in California. (there's a shot in my gallery of one)

So sorry for the slow response.

i have to dash over and have a look at your gallery for that Otter...
I will remember this, because one day i want to visit the US and California is on my list, then i will go see these magnificant creatures...
